Welcome to Finland! Upon landing at Helsinki airport, you'll be greeted and transported to our centrally located hotel in the vibrant capital city. The remainder of the day is yours to explore at your leisure. We'll gather for a welcome meeting in the hotel lobby at around 7pm.

Today, we delve into the heart of Helsinki. Our guided tour will take us around the city's bustling harbours and the historic Senate Square, home to the Lutheran Cathedral. We'll also visit the Parliament Building, the Finlandia Hall, and the Sibelius Monument before stopping at the renowned Church-in-the-Rock. In the afternoon, you have the option to join an excursion to the 18th-century Suomenlinna Fortress, an island-set cultural treasure.

Today, we journey by train to Lappeenranta, a charming resort town in South Karelia. Upon arrival, we'll embark on a walking tour, exploring the historic Old Town, the bustling port area, and the impressive Lappeenranta fortress. We'll also visit the wooden Orthodox Mary the Virgin Church. As the day winds down, we'll board a ship for a captivating evening cruise on Lake Saimaa and the Saimaa Canal, complete with stunning views and a restaurant for your dining pleasure.

Enjoy a day at your leisure in the resort town of Lappeenranta. Our hotel's prime location between the Old Town and the port area offers easy access to local attractions. You might want to explore the boutique shops in the Old Town, savour a traditional Karelian lunch at a local restaurant, or simply soak up the atmosphere and picturesque views at the port. In the late afternoon, we'll transfer to the train station for our return journey to Helsinki.
