Embark on a poignant journey through history with our six-day tour, tracing the battlefields of World War I. Starting in the charming city of Lille, we'll explore the infamous region of the Somme, visit the touching memorials, and delve into the underground city of Naours. We'll pay our respects at the Australian and Canadian National War Memorials, and immerse ourselves in the rebuilt town of Ypres. Our tour will also take us to the heart of British WWI efforts, where we'll explore the fascinating Hooge Crater Museum and attend the moving Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate Memorial. We'll conclude our journey with a visit to Hill 60 and the Australian Memorial Park. This tour is a unique blend of history, culture, and remembrance, offering a deep understanding of the Great War's impact on these regions.

We'll commence our journey in the enchanting city of Lille, where we'll meet our fellow travelers and enjoy a delightful welcome dinner. We'll spend the night at the Hôtel Couvent des Minimes (or similar), setting the stage for the incredible journey ahead.

After breakfast, we'll journey to the Somme region, the site of one of WWI's most devastating battles. We'll explore the preserved trench lines at Newfoundland Memorial Park, visit the Ulster Tower, and pay our respects at Pozières Cemetery and the Thiepval Memorial. We'll then proceed to Amiens, where we'll spend the night at the Hôtel Le Prieuré (or similar).

Our day begins with a visit to the Underground City of Naours, a vast cave network marked by hundreds of ANZAC soldiers. This site offers a touching glimpse into the lives of the brave men who fought in the Great War. The rest of the day is free for you to explore Amiens at your leisure. We'll spend another night at the Hôtel Le Prieuré (or similar).

Leaving Amiens, we'll visit the Australian National War Memorial and Cemetery at Villers-Bretonneux and the Canadian National Vimy Memorial, two poignant sites of remembrance. Our journey continues to Ypres, a town completely rebuilt after its destruction in WWI. Here, we'll enjoy a group dinner and spend the night at The Albion Hotel (or similar).

Today, we'll delve into the heart of British WWI efforts. We'll visit John McCrae's Dressing Station at Essex Farm Cemetery, the German Cemetery at Langemark, and Vancouver Corner. We'll also explore the Hooge Crater Museum, home to a unique collection of WWI artefacts. The day concludes with the moving Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate Memorial. We'll spend another night at The Albion Hotel (or similar).
