Kick off your Albanian adventure in the capital city of Tirana. Our tour leader will pick you up from your hotel and we'll head to our first destination, Shkodra. This ancient city, nestled by the largest lake in the Balkans, boasts a rich history dating back over a thousand years. Explore the impressive Rozafa Castle, where you'll enjoy panoramic views of the lake and the convergence of three rivers into the Adriatic Sea. Day two takes us from Shkodra to the serene village of Theth. As we journey through Northern Albania, marvel at the stunning landscapes of wild fields, rivers, and the Shkodra Lake. Upon arrival in Theth, visit the Old Church and the Lock-in Tower, both steeped in centuries of history. Enjoy the tranquility of this rural area, famous for its cultivation of medicinal herbs. On the third day, we'll journey from Shkodra to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Berat. Known as the 'town of 1001 windows', Berat's narrow stone streets and medieval houses offer a unique charm. Day four takes us from Berat to the 'Stone City' of Gjirokastra, another UNESCO World Heritage site. This fortified city is renowned for its unique architecture, where every house resembles a small fortress. Visit the Castle of Gjirokastra, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in the Balkans. On day five, we'll journey from Gjirokastra to Butrint, stopping at the natural wonder of the Blue Eye along the way. This mesmerizing source of fresh water is surrounded by evergreen trees and offers a truly enchanting sight. Next, we'll visit Ksamil, known for its white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. Finally, we'll explore the National Park of Butrint, the most important archaeological site in Albania and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight stay near the Albanian Riviera.

Day six takes us along the Albanian Riviera, passing some of the country's most beautiful beaches. Our first stop is Himara, a town nestled between mountain peaks and crystal-clear seas. Enjoy a walk by the seaside and sample the local cuisine. Next, we'll visit Dhermi, one of Albania's most famous beaches, known for its hidden coves and crystal-clear waters. On day seven, we'll explore Vlore, known for its balmy temperatures and little rainfall. Visit the Independence Monument and the Muradie Mosque, an Albanian National Monument. Next, we'll head to Durres, where we'll visit the amphitheater and the Venetian Tower. Enjoy a walk along the seaside promenade and sample the traditional ice cream. Finally, we'll drive towards Tirana. Overnight stay in Tirana.

On the final day of our tour, we'll explore the vibrant city of Tirana. Start the day with a local breakfast of Byrek, then explore the Çam bazaar, where you can bargain for goods. Visit the Bicycle bazaar and the New Bazaar, where you'll sample traditional Albanian lunch. Finally, visit BUNKART, a museum dedicated to the history of the Albanian communist army and life during the regime. This marks the end of our remarkable journey through Albania's history and culture.
