It's a short and sweet overview of the palace history. Slavko is super knowledgeable and clearly enthusiastic about the history of Split. I only wish we could have dove even more into the details and stories. I think he does private tours which I'd recommend if you are a real history buff.

I am a former tour guide, and let me tell you, Slavko gave an amazing walking tour of Diocletian's Palace (basically Split). He not only knows the history of the city and Croatia inside and out, but has a great sense of humor, keeping you engaged and enthralled. He is obviously proud of his country (even when joking about their weaknesses) and loves to share its history. And, he speaks better American English than I do! Hvala, Slavko!!

Jakov, our tour guide, was a former history teacher so he was especially knowledgeable about the Diocletian Palace. He made the history of the Diocletian very interesting as he pointed out the areas we were seeing. Jakov’s English was excellent. He is personable and shared his love of all sports once he knew he was guiding a group of Wisconsin “cheesehead” Packer fans. Our group had a very special visit. Thank you, Jakov!

Slavko gave us a great tour of the essentials of the palace structure, what remains, and how it was converted. Highly recommend
