Walk Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania

Welcome to the enchanting city of Tallinn, Estonia's capital. The city is a blend of modern and medieval, with its charming old town that has earned UNESCO World Heritage status. Upon arrival, meet your tour leader at the hotel reception for a welcome meeting at 7pm, followed by an optional dinner. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring the city's cobbled streets and marveling at the 14th-century town hall.

Begin the day with a walking tour of Tallinn's old town, exploring its colorful houses and bustling town square. Later, travel east to Lahemaa National Park, home to ancient fishing villages and 17th-century manor houses. Walk the Beaver Trail, observing diverse plant and animal life along the Altja River Valley. End the day in the 400-year-old fishing village of Altja, where you'll spend the night in a beautifully converted distillery.

Today, cross the border into Latvia and head to Cesis, located in the Gauja National Park. Known as the 'Latvian Switzerland', the park is home to the Gauja River valleys and over 500 historical sites. Explore the medieval town of Cesis, with its 13th-century castle. In the afternoon, take a nature trail through the park to the Gauja River and Gauja Rocks.

Start the day with a drive to Sigulda, where you'll walk a nature trail through the forests and river valleys of the Gauja National Park. Visit the ruins of the Livonian medieval fortress and the neo-gothic castle, and enjoy a cable car ride for a bird's eye view of the forest. In the afternoon, journey to Latvia's capital, Riga. Upon arrival, take a walking tour of the city, visiting the Freedom Monument, Gunpowder Tower, Saint Jacob's Church, and the cathedral.

Drive west to Kemeri National Park, known for its wetlands, coastal lakes, and dunes. Walk along the raised boardwalk above the wetlands, observing the unique flora and fauna. Afterward, return to the seaside resort of Jurmala for lunch. In the afternoon, continue south, crossing the border into Lithuania. Arrive in Klaipeda and take a ferry to Nida on the Curonian Spit, your base for the next two nights.

Spend the day exploring the wild landscapes of the Curonian Spit National Park, a UNESCO Heritage Site. Take an 11-kilometer walk through the varying landscapes of the national park, from high sand dunes to pine forests and old Curnonian houses. The terrain is mainly flat and sandy with some forested areas.

Travel to Trakai, the former home of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Visit the 15th-century castle, which sits on its own island in Lake Galve. After exploring the castle, continue to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Upon arrival, take a walking tour of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town, visiting the ancient university, the cathedral, and the Gate of the Dawn.
