Morning - Loire Valley Wine Tour in Vouvray and Montlouis

Very informative tour with history of winemaking, current practices and on-site review of vines, their output and harvest. Visit to two wineries and tasting. Our guide was knowledgeable, responsive to wide range of questions and provided excellent accompanying charcuterie.

Victor did an outstanding job explaining Loire Valley wines to us and providing a delicious and diverse sampling of Vouvray and Montluis vintages. A fun and convivial afternoon in two wineries that we are so glad that we did.

Phillipe was an excellent guide - formally educated in all things wine, very good English, calm and safe driver. The tour was well-structured, starting with an overview while standing in a vineyard beside a beautiful chateau. All the driving times were short between the Tours tourist information centre and the wineries. Tasted many wines, one in a medieval limestone quarry cave and the other in a modern winery shop. Lovely tour, highly recommend.

This was an absolutely fabulous tour with a knowledgeable guide who taught us so much about wine-making in the Loire Valley. We first went to a vineyard and learned about the soil and grape cultivation. Then went to a small wine cellar (Vouvray) where we got to walk around the caves and learn from the guide about wine processing but also got to taste wines prepared differently with the same grape but processed differently. Amazing to taste the differences! This was an eye opener for the neophyte! The range of cheeses set out to accompany the wine tastings formed a nice pairing and were delicious, too! Back in the van, we headed to the next stop, a larger operation but with similar delicious tastings! We so enjoyed the guide's presentation and the opportunity to learn about wine production in the Loire Valley.

Excellent tour. Alicia was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable. Learned alot about French wine making. The wineries we went to were very different but both fun. Had a great time. Packed alot into 1/2 day which was great.

This was an enjoyable tour. Simon was informative and engaging. We visited two wineries that were vastly different. I especially enjoyed the Winery in the cave. I now have my new favorite, a sparkling wine from Vouvray. Thank you Simon.

We can see why this tour was so highly rated already on Viator. It certainly met all of our expectations. Pierre guided us with an extensive knowledge and relaxed approach to the tour. Her was happy to answer any questions raised and there were no communication problem whatsoever. Plenty of wines to sample and the nibbles were a bonus too. I would no hesitate to recommend this tour and I hope you are fortunate enough to get Pierre as a guide too.

This tour and guide were amazing! Victor was so knowledgeable, informative and thoughtful- he even had fruit juice for our non wine drinking child. I would highly recommend.

Wow, what a fun experience! Our tour host was fun, knowledgeable and interesting. We got to enjoy a family run winery in a unique setting in Vouvray and a modern winery with a lot of equipment in Mont St Louis!
