Marseille: Walking Food Tour with Tastings

We really enjoyed this tour. Yasmine was an excellent guide and we loved the various foods we tried.

The best part was obviously the authentic food we got to try which you normally don’t easily get as a tourist. Our guide Sophie was very nice and super helpful and she even spent extra time and told us a lot of things about Marsaille and even dropped us to the bus station at the end. I highly recommend taking a tour with Sophie as she is one of the best guides and very knowledgeable and good English. Thanks Dinesh and Mili

Renauld was an excellent guide. We learned so much about the history of Marseille as we walked around the old port area and ate local food. He was very conscientious about the pace and what we needed. We highly recommend this tour!

This tour was all about the food and wine. Good variety, delicious, and plentiful. Our guide said she was also our waitress and that was true. She made sure everyone was served and well taken care of. However, if you are looking for a tour that offers sightseeing, history, or a discussion of why certain foods are being served, local products or local wines, or any other educational insights, this is not the tour for you. If you just want a pleasant time with a little walking, plenty of good food, and good company, then this tour is very enjoyable.

Beautiful trip, lovely food and very good guide

Xavier was an awesome tour guide. We were only his 2nd group but you would’ve never known it. He was knowledgeable and personable. He was on time to greet our group and interacted with everyone. Even the children. The food was amazing and you can’t go wrong with good wine and beer. I highly recommend this tour.

The tour was fun and delicious! Sophie, our engaging guide, quickly got our group of six introduced, chatting and laughing. She took us on an interesting and informative walk through part of the older section of Marseille, and introduced us to some eclectic and memorable restaurants. I love to do food tours, and was so happy to meet Sophie and spend a happy morning learning from her and enjoying yummy foods and desserts.

My husband and I have been on quite a few foodie tours in different countries including Ireland, Aruba, and Thailand. I would consider us professional tourists lol! Alessandré was an excellent guide taking us through Marseille, exploring some of the historical sites, then indulging in the local dishes. She really connects with her clients and answers any questions about the tour. This tour really helped us enjoy Marseille even more! I would recommend this tour if you want to walk around the town and learn more about the food and culture.
