Embark on a six-day journey through the picturesque landscapes of France's wine country. This multi-day tour will take you from the bustling city of Bordeaux to the tranquil vineyards of Pian Medoc, Macau, Margaux, Saint-Estephe, Moulis, and Pauillac. You'll cycle along the famous 'Road of the Chateaux', visit renowned wine and spirit houses, and explore historical sites like the archaeological site of Brion and Vauban's Fort Medoc. The tour also includes a trip to the coastal town of Hourtin, where you'll enjoy the natural beauty of the beach, dunes, and pine forests. The journey concludes with a relaxing ride along the 'Green Way' of Lacanau Ocean, back to Pian Medoc.

At the first hotel you will be provided with a Hybrid Bike which comes with a repair kit, 1 pannier, lock (1 for 2 bikes), helmet (if requested), Smartphone holder (1 between 2 bikes) and a handlebar bag.
A limited supply of e-bikes are available – supplement applies. These are Arcade Cycles - E-Cardan 26'' - 9Ah

Locks will be provided. Please use the locks to secure your cycles every time they are left unattended (particularly overnight). No security deposit is taken for the bikes however you will be expected to pay for a replacement if a bicycle is stolen or damaged.
We recommend that you pay for optional bike insurance - supplement applies. Without this insurance, you will need to pay 400 € per standard bike and 2000 € per e-bike, gravel or road bike should the bike be stolen or damaged. It is a condition of rental that you accept this requirement.
In the case of a puncture the assumption is that you can repair. You will be given a proper puncture repair kit, which will enable you to solve the problem.

Day 1 – Day 1: Bordeaux to Pian Medoc

Upon your arrival at Bordeaux's train station or airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Pian Medoc. Here, you'll receive a welcome pack containing maps, tourist information, and an itinerary. Your accommodation for the night is a traditional 18-bedroom house with a pool and extensive parkland.
Day 2 – Day 2: Pian Medoc to Macau and Margaux

Today, you'll cycle along the 'Road of the Chateaux' from Pian Medoc to Macau and towards Margaux. You'll pass by vineyards and chateaux that are famous worldwide. Don't forget to stop at the little harbours along the route, including St Julien. Your day ends with dinner and an overnight stay in a charming guesthouse in Moulis or Margaux.

Continue your journey along the 'Road of the Chateaux' towards Pauillac. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to explore the archaeological site of Brion and Vauban's Fort Medoc. Your day concludes with an overnight stay in a charming guesthouse located among the vineyards near the village of Saint-Yzans.
Day 4 – Day 4: Pauillac to Lacanau

Today, you'll cycle from Pauillac to Lacanau, passing through the marsh landscape and reaching the area between the lake and the ocean. You'll visit Hourtin beach, known for its wide coast and dunes. Your day ends with an overnight stay in a hotel located in the pine forest of Lacanau.

Your day starts with a ride along the 'Green Way' of Lacanau Ocean, through the natural landscape of forest and picturesque beaches. It's a beautiful and easy ride, and you can stop along the way in a shaded picnic area. The day concludes with your arrival back in Pian Medoc, where you'll spend the night in the same hotel as your first night.
