Provence Camargue To Nimes

After checking into your hotel, Hotel Cloitre Saint Louis (or similar), you'll meet with an English-speaking staff member for an orientation session. They'll provide you with bikes and a route book for your upcoming adventure. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring Avignon at your leisure, with dinner recommendations provided for a taste of local cuisine.

Start your day with a scenic bike ride from Avignon to St Remy de Provence. Along the way, you'll pass through the picturesque village of Graveson, a quintessential representation of Provencal life. Upon arrival in St Remy de Provence, check into your accommodation, Hotel Sous les Figuiers (or similar), and spend the rest of the day exploring the town's charming boulevards under the shade of century-old plane trees.

Today's journey takes you from St Remy de Provence to Arles, passing through the historical site of Les Baux de Provence and the Abbey of Montmajour. Take time to explore these ancient sites and imagine life here 2000 years ago. Upon arrival in Arles, check into Hotel Le Calendal (or similar) and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Today, you'll venture into the Camargue, a region renowned for its unique flora, fauna, and landscapes. Your route takes you through the town of St Gilles before leading you along the banks of ponds and swamps. Keep an eye out for pink flamingos and egrets as you breathe in the fresh sea air. Your destination for the day is Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, where you'll check into Hotel Les Palmiers (or similar). Enjoy a stroll through the town's quaint streets and a relaxing dinner included in your tour package.

On day five, you'll discover the Camargue Gardoise, ending your journey in the medieval town of Aigues Mortes. Here, you'll find the Tower of Constance and the town's impressive ramparts. After checking into Hotel Canal (or similar), spend the rest of the day exploring the town's charming streets and shops, and enjoy the exceptional views from the ramparts and the Tower of Constance.

On the penultimate day of your tour, you'll cycle from Aigues Mortes to Nîmes, passing through the Gardoise countryside and the village of Générac. Don't miss the Carbonnière Tower on your way. Once in Nîmes, check into Hotel de l'Amphithéâtre (or similar) and take the opportunity to explore this magnificent Roman city, with its arenas, Maison Carrée, Jardins de la Fontaine, Tour Magne, and Museum of Romanity.

After breakfast, your memorable seven-day tour comes to an end. Depart at your convenience, with TGV trains available to Paris or Paris CDG airport throughout the day. If you wish to extend your stay, additional nights can be arranged upon request.
