Welcome to Munich, the vibrant capital of Bavaria. Upon arrival at the international airport, our representative will assist you with your rented car. Drive to your selected hotel in the city (or similar) and settle in. Later, embark on a walking tour of the historic city center, visiting landmarks such as the Karlstor Gate, the Cathedral of Munich (Frauenkirche), Odeon Square, and Marienplatz, home to the city hall. Spend the night in Munich.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before setting off for a full-day excursion to Chiemsee, Bavaria's largest lake, located about 87 km south of Munich. Take a ferry to the lake's largest island, home to the magnificent Herrenchiemsee Palace. Built between 1878 and 1885, this unfinished palace is a testament to King Ludwig II's admiration for King Louis XIV of France. Explore its grand halls and beautiful gardens before returning to Munich for an evening at leisure. Overnight in Munich.

After breakfast, leave Munich and head to Lake Starnberg, where King Ludwig II was found dead. This beautiful lake is just 26 km from Munich and offers stunning landscapes. Check into your selected hotel (or similar) and embark on a light trek around the lake, visiting Rose Island and its charming villa. Enjoy a short lunch break at a regional restaurant before spending the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight at Lake Starnberg.

After breakfast, bid farewell to Lake Starnberg and head towards Hohenschwangau, the highlight of the trip. En route, stop at Linderhof, King Ludwig II's 'royal villa', where you can admire the neo-rococo architecture and the staircase modeled after the one at Versailles Palace. Continue to Hohenschwangau and check into your selected hotel (or similar). Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Hohenschwangau.

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before visiting Hohenschwangau Castle, the childhood residence of King Ludwig II. Explore this 19th-century palace, built by King Maximilian II on the ruins of the fortress Schwangau. Continue to Neuschwanstein Castle, a Romanesque Revival palace that served as Ludwig II's retreat and is now a prominent feature in several movies. After the visit, take a leisurely walk along the shores of the Alpsee. Overnight in Hohenschwangau.

After breakfast, head to Tegelberg, a hill located opposite Neuschwanstein Palace. Take a funicular ride to the top for a stunning view of the palace and the surrounding landscape. Enjoy your last breakfast in Munich before checking out of the hotel. Spend the morning at your leisure, perhaps visiting the Residence, the former palace of the Wittlesbach Family, or the Allianz Arena, home to Bayer Munich. You could also visit the BMW-World Museum or do some last-minute shopping in downtown Munich.
