Embark on a captivating multi-day tour that takes you on a journey through history, culture, and nature. This tour is designed for those who have a keen interest in history, particularly the Cold War era, and a love for cycling. Starting from the vibrant city of Berlin, you'll cycle through scenic routes, explore historical sites, and immerse yourself in the local culture. You'll follow the path of the former Berlin Wall, visit iconic landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Tegeler Fliess conservation area. The tour also includes a visit to the royal city of Potsdam, known for its palaces and gardens. Each day ends with a comfortable stay in a local hotel, allowing you to rest and rejuvenate for the next day's adventure.

Brand-name rental bikes in various frame sizes are available for you. We have your height from your booking form. We always try, as far as our possibilities allow, to meet your rental bike requirements (without guarantee)!

TIP: Your own saddle can be brought along and mounted largely without problems if the saddle post fits (Ø 27.2 mm).
Breakdown service
In case you suffer a breakdown with our rental bikes, you will receive a repair kit with mending and tools as an accessory for your rental bike. If you have a breakdown on the road that you cannot repair yourself or need help, please call us. We will do our best to provide help as quickly as possible within the scope of our possibilities.
In the event of a breakdown with the rental bikes, our partner will reimburse your expenses by means of a workshop repair, up to a one-off amount of €25.00. If the costs exceed this amount, they must be agreed in advance by telephone with Mecklenburger Radtour.

Day 1 – Day 1: Berlin to Oranienburg

Upon your arrival in Berlin, you'll take a scenic S-Bahn ride to the town of Oranienburg. If you arrive early, consider visiting the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial, a poignant reminder of the past. Your rental bikes will be ready at the hotel in Oranienburg, where you'll be staying overnight.

Your first day of cycling takes you through the Tegeler Fliess conservation area and onto the Berlin Wall Trail. You'll pass by watchtowers and informative steles, cycling south along the edge of Reinickendorf and Niederschönhausen towards Pankow and Wedding. You'll reach the heart of Berlin, marked by the grand 18th-century Brandenburg Gate. Spend the night in the vibrant district of Berlin-Mitte.

Day three takes you through the heart of Berlin, from the Brandenburg Gate to Potsdamer Platz. Visit the iconic Checkpoint Charlie and the East Side Gallery, a vibrant art installation on a remnant of the Berlin Wall. Cycle through the district of Kreuzberg and over the Spree River to Ostbahnhof. From there, you'll head to Teltow for an overnight stay.

Day four is a shorter ride, allowing you more time to explore the royal city of Potsdam. Cycle the route of the first Prussian train, passing the former border control point of Dreilinden. In Potsdam, don't miss the chance to visit the Sanssouci palace and its beautiful terraced gardens. You'll stay overnight in Potsdam.
Day 5 – Day 5: Potsdam to Oranienburg

On day five, you'll cycle through a picturesque landscape of hills, parks, and lakes, passing the Glienicke Bridge and taking a ferry across the Havel river to Kladow. Your route will lead you through the Spandau Forest to Nieder Neuendorf and finally back to Oranienburg for an overnight stay.
