Leave the city behind and hike along the Isar River, through lush forests and open meadows. Follow the Way of St. James to the renowned Schäftlarn Monastery. Here, savor Bavarian delicacies and freshly brewed beer in the monastery's beer garden. After a short, steep climb, you'll reach the town of Schäftlarn, where you'll stay at Gut Schwaige (or similar).

Embark on a hike through the stunning Maisinger Gorge to the idyllic Lake Maisinger. Continue to Possenhofen, where Empress Sissi spent her childhood. Prepare for your first mountain stage as you hike to the famous Herzogstand. Once at the top, take a break in the legendary beer garden or climb the Herzogstand for a panoramic view of Munich and the high mountains. A cable car will take you down to the valley, where you'll catch a bus to Wallgau. Rest for the night at the Post Office Hotel (or similar).

Embark on a fantastic summit tour to the Wank. Hike through the deep Finzbachklamm to the Finzalm, a small rest hut in a wonderful location. Continue to the Esterbergalm, where you can fortify yourself with hut specialties before the final climb to the summit. From the top, enjoy an unforgettable view of the Zugspitz massif and Wetterstein mountains. Descend comfortably with the cable car to Garmisch, where you'll stay at the Hotel Riessersee (or similar).
