Half-Day Private Guided Tour of Athens With Lunch

My wife and I took this Athens tour pre-cruise and we could not have been happier. Our expectations were surpassed in numerous ways first by having the most competent tour guide/drive in George. His knowledge of and love for his home country was shown in the way of his vivacious commentary, gestures, and his use of descriptives, gave the both of us the feeling that his country and especially Athens was the most marvelous place to live and visit.

George gave us a tour of his city with colorful commentary and facts that made us feel a part of his community. He made certain we passed special sites as well as exiting his car (a very clean and comfortable Mercedes) to experience museums, churches, and the highlight of the day…walking up and up to be a part of the Acropolis, Pantheon, and its magnificent views of Athens.

At the end of the day George took us to a quaint Greek restaurant where we had a very traditional Greek lunch. The food was magnificent along with the service.

Paddy was great!!! He treated us like royalty. We visited the Acropolis, Agropa both Roman and Greek, the change of guards and much much more. It was a delightful day. He's very knowledgeable about Greek history. You will enjoy his tour. Plus our meal at the end of tour was very tasty. Authentic Greek hospitality!! Efcharisto Paddy!!!

Paddy was a great tour guide and made sure our group was comfortable and well-informed. Paddy kept us entertained all day while teaching us so much Greek history and culture. All of us, including my wife, mother (age 87), and daughters 20 and 15, loved the tour led by Paddy. My wife and I would recommend this tour to anyone, particularly families, for its convenience and easy access to sites. The meal at the end of the tour was also very good and hit the spot after a day of sightseeing. Definitely request Paddy if taking a trip!

This is a great value tour and experience as it covers all the main sites of Athens - and it is much more than a half day. We spent from 10am until 4pm on the tour, which was a bonus. Paddy is a wonderful guide and we had plenty of time at each location, nothing is too much trouble and we really felt we were fully immersed in the Athens experience. Paddy carries plenty of refreshments for the day which was also a major benefit.

Note - historic site tickets are not included but we were informed of this way ahead of time. In fact the pre-event communication was fantastic and left us very comfortable with the arrangements.

This was an unbelievably good tour. Our driver, Paddy, was personable, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. His love for the city was apparent throughout the tour. Every point of interest detailed on the tour was visited and their importance explained. He was patient when part of our group got separated from us. He helped locate them and did not make them feel any worse than they already felt. His graciousness was appreciated. At the end of the tour we went to the company owned restaurant. Were we ever surprised. The food was plentiful. The preparation was exquisite. The hospitality was world class. They made us feel at home in a foreign land while Paddy orchestrated the tour expertly from start to finish. It was a great experience that we all enjoyed immensely

Our guide George Illios gave us a great time showing us around his home city. He has extensive knowledge of Greek and Athens history. Definitely would recommend him to bring you guys around!

Our first time to Athens was a trip of a lifetime! Our tour guide, Paddy, clearly has a passion and knowledge for ancient Athenian history. The stops at each monument and historical site was unforgettable. The pictures we got are breathtaking. Finally, the authentic Greek meal was absolutely the best. Well done!

Sebastian was absolutely wonderful. He took us all over Athens and we saw all the major sites. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of Greek history and was able to share it in an interesting way. Lots of fascinating anecdotes, and he was able to answer all of our questions. After the tour, he took us to a Greek restaurant in town, which was probably the best meal we had during our entire vacation.
