Upon your arrival at Athens Airport or Piraeus Port, you'll be transferred to your hotel. Spend the afternoon at leisure, exploring the vibrant city of Athens. Start with a visit to the bustling Syntagma Square, then head to Attica at City link, the largest and most fashionable department store in Greece. Continue your exploration in the Kolonaki area, known for its popular streets filled with coffee shops, restaurants, and boutiques. Don't miss the chance to shop at Ermou street and take a peaceful walk through the charming alleys of Plaka. Overnight stay will be in Athens (or similar).

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a city tour of Athens. Visit the Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the first modern Olympic Games. Explore the Parliament, the memorial of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, University, National Library, and Constitution Square. Visit unique Greek delis and pie shops, explore the vibrant Varvakios market, and taste typical Greek home cooking. Throughout the tour, you'll be tasting iconic Greek delicacies such as cheeses, cured meats, olives, and olive oil. End your tour with a visit to an authentic Greek mezze shop, where you'll enjoy 'tsipouro', a prestigious alcoholic beverage. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring Athens city centre before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast at the hotel, spend the day exploring Athens on your own. Visit the Sunday flea market 'Joussouroum' at the Platia Avissinias in the Monastiraki district. Enjoy a Greek coffee at one of the many cafes and taste the Greek kebab and souvlaki at a traditional Greek tavern. Alternatively, you can book our optional Cape Sounion half-day tour, where you'll visit the Temple of Poseidon and enjoy a leisurely walk on the rocky promontory of Sounion. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
