What a wonderful museum! You learn so much about Iceland. The exhibits are wonderful. I especially enjoyed the planeterium and the ice cave. It's my secand visit to Iceland but my first visit to the Perlan. It's not to be missed. I highly recommend it before you venture on your inland tour. You'll appreciate the places you visit so much more with the knowledge gained at the museum.

Amazing!

We walked here from downtown Reykjavik and the museum was fairly quiet on arrival. We noticed later that when the Big Bus tour dropped off it was quite crowded due to the number of people.

Although expensive (as per everything else in Iceland) this was our favourite museum and we spent several hours here.

Highlights were the volcano show, planetarium, ice cave and viewing platform.

We had a drink from the cafe and lunch from the restaurant. The revolving restaurant is fantastic and worth a visit even just for a drink.

Given the cost for a senior compared to a certain museum in the city, this is money well spent. Go on a clear day. Views spectacular and plenty to do. Allow three to four hours. Superb for children.

Dear Steveb,

Thank you for sharing your day with us.

We’re glad you had the opportunity to take a look at our 360-degree view all over Reykjavík, the Atlantic Ocean, and the mountains.

Did you get to experience the Ice Cave? There, you can safely explore the glacial environment and find various features of natural glaciers, like layers of real volcanic ash between ice and snow, crystal ice and get to touch and feel real glacier mice.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Perlan.

Kind regards,

Elvar

Great experience and easy afternoon activity, especially when the rain decides to come out to play in the city. Would be great to have a few more adult focused interactive exhibits but overall a nice way to spend time indoors when its cold and wet outside.

Highlights:

***Highly recommend relaxing under the rotating dome cafe and enjoying the city views.

***Ice cave is a bit of fun!

***Aurora show is wonderful

***Geysir exhibit is surprising

Our full experience offers an exciting and immersive journey through the incredible natural landscape of Iceland. With interactive displays, cinematic films, and breathtaking spectacles, you’ll uncover the mysteries behind volcanic eruptions, explore glaciers in detail and delve into the science of the northern lights. It’s the perfect way to learn and engage with Iceland’s most spectacular wonders in one place.

Glad to see you enjoyed our very own geysir. We named it Styrmir, and its jet of water shoots up 25 meters high, making it the biggest fountain in Iceland.

We walked 40 mins from Reykjavik centre to get here and it was definately worth it. The history and exhibits were interesting and I learned quite a few things about volcanoes, glaciers and iceland itself, while the ice cave was a bit of fun. If you have a spare afternoon it would not be wasted here
