Experience the thrill of snorkeling in the Silfra Fissure, located in Thingvellir National Park in Iceland. This unique adventure lets you float between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, surrounded by some of the clearest water on the planet.
Upon arrival at Silfra, you’ll be welcomed and divided into small groups, each led by a certified PADI instructor. After a thorough safety briefing, you’ll gear up in a drysuit and warm undersuit, ensuring you stay comfortable in the chilly glacial water.
Your journey begins in the Big Crack, the narrowest part of Silfra, where the continental plates nearly touch. As you glide through Silfra Hall, take in the breathtaking visibility that stretches up to 100 meters, offering views all the way to Lake Thingvallavatn.
Continue to the Silfra Cathedral, where the fissure reaches a depth of 23 meters, and finish your swim in the tranquil Silfra Lagoon. After your underwater exploration, warm up with hot chocolate and cookies while chatting with your guide.
This unforgettable snorkeling tour lasts about 2.5 hours and includes all necessary equipment, entrance fees, and refreshments. Spaces are limited, so check availability and book your Silfra adventure today!
