5-Day Escape to the South West Small-Group Tour from Dublin

We depart from Dublin, traversing the farmlands and peat bogs of County Kildare and Offaly. Our first stop is the renowned Kilbeggan Distillery, where you can unwind with a glass of their celebrated whiskey. We then proceed to the banks of the mighty River Shannon and the ruined abbey at Clonmacnoise. After a traditional pub lunch in a quaint village, we journey to Galway City, our home for the night, known for its lively atmosphere and excellent dining options.

We start the day with a short drive to the Burren, one of Ireland's national treasures. After exploring the area, we head to Kilfenora, the 'town of the crosses', and its ancient cathedral. Our journey continues to the magnificent Cliffs of Moher, where you can walk the stunning cliff trails. We then move south through County Clare, passing its famous golf course to the picturesque beach at Lahinch. We end the day in the charming town of Killarney, our base for the next three nights.

Today, we explore the stunning Dingle Peninsula. Our first stop is Inch Beach, a vast expanse of sand stretching into the Atlantic. We then venture through the town of Dingle towards Slea Head, an area filled with ancient forts and prehistoric dwellings. After a day of exploration, we return to the vibrant town of Dingle, where you can enjoy delicious seafood. In the evening, we head back to Killarney.

Today, we explore the spectacular Ring of Kerry, navigating through valleys, towns, and villages. We pass through the foothills of the Macgillycuddy's Reeks and join the scenic coast road through Glenbeigh and Kells on the way to Cahersiveen. After lunch in the quaint fishing village of Portmagee, we visit the Skellig Experience on the island of Valentia. We end the day with a visit to Derrynane House, the family home of Daniel O'Connell, before heading back to Killarney.

On the final day of our tour, we head east through the mountains of West Cork to Blarney Castle. Here, you may have the chance to kiss the famous Blarney Stone. In the afternoon, we visit the heritage town of Cahir and its distinctive island castle. Our last stop is Kilkenny, a bustling city with a fine castle and an impressive National Craft Centre. We then return to Dublin, concluding our unforgettable journey.
