Our visit was on a Wednesday in February. It was rainy and cold, and it would have been nice to have an umbrella. HOWEVER, the tour was a delight! Letizia was our tour guide and she was so sweet and knowledgeable about everything. We had a great time, but I would recommend you do this tour earlier in the day if possible. It seemed a little rushed because our Colosseum experience was rushed because we were there close to closing time.
I would recommend you get this tour because you can interact with questions! The audio tours can only get you so far!

Elida was excellent. Never done a tour before but you get so much more out of visiting if you have one. Could do with a little more info about the meeting point as it's an abandoned building - but the tour company perches outside from about 20mins before booking.

The tour was fantastic! Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and could answer any question you threw at him. My kids really enjoyed it as well. This was my third time to the Colosseum and the Forum, but I did not have a guide any of the other times, and I regretted it. I'm really glad we did this tour! The only downside is that if you spend too much time at the Colosseum (as everyone had tons of questions for the guide), then you end up getting a bit short-changed on the Roman Forum side of the tour. Even though our tour had hit the 2.5 hour timeline, our guide still hung out with us to make sure that we had a good understanding of things at the Forum which was really cool of him. Going in at the Gladiator level was really cool and unique, and was not crowded at all, so that was well worth it! Overall a fantastic choice!

Our guide Mossimo was great! He was well informed, a good communicator, patient, funny, and helpful. I think there was a last minute change and he stepped in and did a great job. Mossimo had a lot of info you would find in textbooks and even more great stories that you likely won't hear about in school. Thank you for the great experience!
