After breakfast, join a small group tour to the well-preserved archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Travel along the beautiful Amalfi Drive, before arriving at Pompeii for a 2-hour guided tour. Discover the ancient life that was abruptly halted by the Vesuvius eruption in 79 A.D. After a lunch break, continue to Herculaneum, a quaint residential coastal town also buried by Vesuvius. After breakfast, embark on a cruise along the Amalfi Coast and the Island of Capri. Depart from Maiori port and sail to Praiano pier, where you'll board the boat for the cruise to Capri. Marvel at the island's stunning landmarks, including the Scugnizzo statue, Grotta del Corallo, Grotta Bianca, Natural Arch, Villa Malaparte, the Faraglioni, Bay of Marina Piccola, Grotta Verde, and the Lighthouse at Punta Carena. After the cruise, enjoy 4 hours of free time to explore Capri's center. In the late afternoon, cruise back to the mainland, with a stop for a swim in the crystal-clear waters near Nerano or Positano.
