Morning Trip in Mount Etna, Sicily

Excellent experience! Day trip from catania would recommend to all ages.

Was give deep history of the area as well as the volcano!

Would absolutely recommend this tour! We went in the morning and we saw a lot. It was the perfect amount of time for a tour, without leaving you too tired at the end to do other things in Catania or other surrounding cities.

One thing I will say — many of us wore closed toed shoes, but they were not good enough. I wore New Balance tennis shoes, but I would recommend wearing boots if you have them. My shoes had a decent amount of traction, but if you go in the lava caves (would recommend), then you’ll want some extra ankle support and traction. Definitely not a must, but if you’re debating between the two, definitely choose boots. I’d doubly recommend boots if you’re going in the winter due to potential snow on the mountain.

That was a me problem and something I should’ve done better research on before going.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. He gave us options for what we wanted to do and adjusted the plan based on what the group chose.

We didn't get to see the lava because it was too high up, so that may be something to consider. The company does go to where you can see the lava, so maybe just check for what your tour includes before booking. The company was easy to reach and very responsive.

Had a wonderful trip. Our guide Daphne was excellent. She explained everything so well and took lots of time to go through the cave and also we got good time in the hike up the Etna (to the point where we could). Would highly recommend this company and the guide. Their communication, timing and the whole experience was wonderful. Mount Etna trip was the top of the list of our whole week in Sicily.

The pick up was smooth. Our guide was a volcanic professor so extremely knowledgeable. He was a great guide and had a little Sicilian treat for us at the end! Highly recommended!

Gaetano was an excellent tour guide and very fun to hike up the mountain with.

The explanations for the volcanoes history and formation were very informative.

The experience was fantastic from start to finish. Despite being unable to following the original plan, due to a road closure, we still had a fantastic time thanks to Leonardo! The caves were great and the hike round the area gave us a lot of knowledge and brilliant memories. Would highly recommend!

Terrific guide, Daphne gave us a wonderful experience, lots of information and very caring and understanding of the abilities of the various members of our small group, enjoyable and interesting walk. The sweet wine and biscotti at the high point of our walk was appreciated.

Fantastic excursion, all the stops were great and the trekking was the top. To see the volcano was a great experience. Leonardo was a great guide, very kind and always ready to help and answer any question. I recommend this excursion.

We had such a great time on this hike! We had Iorga, and he was such a delight. Shared so much knowledge, and fun facts, as well as had a great sense of humour! It was a small group of 6, and he was able to ensure everyone had a good time, and spoke in multiple languages for those who don’t speak English.

Would highly recommend this tour, even in the off season! I do recommend hiking boots or winter boots if you go in the off season as there is snow and it can be a bit slippery. Iorga was able to ensure we all had a path way through, but good to have!

We flew into Sicily for the day specifically for Mount Etna and we couldn’t have asked for more—- Iorga was an excellent tour guide who was extremely knowledgable and entertaining. The hike itself was beginner friendly while experiencing some breathtaking views, excellent value for money. This was our first time within the country and this tour made everything go so smoothly from pick-up to drop-off :)
