Start your journey by traveling to the majestic Reschenpass, either by car or by train and bus. From there, continue your journey to the charming village of Reschen.
Day 2 – Day 2: Reschen to Schlanders via Glurns

Today, cycle along the serene Lake Reschensee, taking in the view of the sunken Graun Church. Continue your journey to the medieval village of Glurns, known for its perfectly preserved city walls. End your day in Schlanders, the capital of the famous Vinschgauer.

On your way to Merano, you will come across some beautiful castles, including the mountaineer Reinhold Messner’s Castle Juval. Enjoy the marvelous views of the impressive Ortlermassiv mountain massif and the Stilfserjoch mountain pass as you roll down on your bike into the tranquil city of Merano, known for its Mediterranean vegetation.

Today, you have two paths leading to Bolzano. One takes you along the Adige River, and the other through the impressive landscape of orchards via Lana and Eppan. Don't miss the Messner Mountain Museum in the well-restored ruin of Sigmundskron and the famous Ötzi – the man from the ice.

Today, you have two options to reach Lake Caldaro. You can either take the slightly hilly cycle path via Eppan or the flat cycle path along the Etsch (Adige) dam. After a refreshing stop at the lake, continue your journey to the charming wine village of Auer.

From Auer, continue on the cycle path along the Etsch dam. Pass by the 'Salurner Klause', the end of the German-speaking part of South Tyrol. Your path leads you through famous Trentino wine regions into the ancient diocesan town of Trento, known for its lovely old part of town, cathedral, and Buonconsiglio palace.

Today, you will continue cycling along the Adige through Rovereto and on to Mori. From there, the route leads westwards towards Lake Garda. After a short ascent (Passo San Giovanni), descend down to the lake to Torbole and further on to Riva. From here, a boat will take you down the entire length of the lake.
