Strolling through Lecce

The tour with Sara was absolutely amazing. She gave such insight in to the history of Lecce which encompassed the architecture, art, construction style's, food, etc. We were able to see and understand the importance of this town and learn things we would never have found on our own. Her English was very good and she even helped us with our very poor Italian language skills :) Would highly recommend touring with her your very first day in town as it gives greater appreciation to what you see on your own.

The tour was set at a very chilled pace, and Sara's knowledge was impeccable. Lecce is a beautiful city and Sara's tour helps to unlock the magic. We also stopped by the lesser known Roman theatre (as opposed to the amphitheatre), which for an adorer of Romans was a welcome stop! A must do tour!

My husband and I got to spend a wonderful morning exploring Lecce with Sara. She is a wonderful guide. At the beginning of our tour, Sara set the stage for us by giving us a quick history of the region and the town. During the tour, she was able to relate what we were seeing to that history.

Lecce is easily walkable. Sara has an expansive knowledge of the art and the host of this historic town. The history came alive during our walk. She also has a notebook with recreations of historical places.

We had lots of questions about past and present day Lecce. Sara was very patient! She is a fun, relaxed guide. You will enjoy spending time with her. We did!

This was a relaxing, informative and very pleasing stroll around Lecce. Sara greeted us all personally by name and had fun exchanging the countries we were all from (as we were a small group). Following our introductions, she revealed lots about Lecce's details, buildings and history with many jokes and laughs on the way! Finally, Sara had recommended us lots of the locals' favourite snacks and pasta and closed our tour with warm goodbyes.
