Your Italian adventure begins in the historic city of Pisa. After settling into your centrally located hotel, join your Tour Leader for a welcome meeting at 6.30 pm. Get acquainted with your fellow travelers and discuss the exciting journey ahead. If you arrive early, take the opportunity to explore the city on foot, including a visit to the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Today, we journey to the medieval town of San Gimignano, known for its 14 towering medieval towers. We'll hike along the Via Francigena trail, soaking in the stunning Tuscan landscapes. After exploring the town, we'll visit the Sovestro winery for a tasting of local wines. We end the day in Castellina in Chianti, a charming town nestled in the heart of the Chianti Hills.

We start the day with a scenic walk through the countryside surrounding Castellina, passing vineyards and olive groves. Our destination is the Castello La Leccia winery, where we'll enjoy a tasting of Chianti wines and a light lunch. The afternoon is yours to relax and explore Castellina at your own pace.

Today, we head to the medieval city of Siena, renowned for its Gothic architecture and vibrant Wednesday market. Spend the day exploring the city's historic sites, including the magnificent Duomo and the Piazza del Campo. In the afternoon, we continue to Pienza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its Renaissance architecture.

Today's walk takes us through the picturesque countryside around Pienza, known as the 'Gladiator hike'. Along the way, we'll pass the iconic Vitaleta chapel, a secluded gem nestled among cypress trees. In the afternoon, you'll have the option to taste Pienza's famous pecorino cheese at a local cheese shop.

We start the day with a drive to San Quirico D'Orcia, a charming town along the Via Francigena pilgrimage route. From here, we'll embark on a hike through the beautiful Val D'Orcia, with vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see. Our destination is Montalcino, a hilltop town known for its Brunello di Montalcino wine.

Today, we leave the rolling hills of Tuscany behind and head to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. Upon arrival, join your leader for an orientation walk to get your bearings. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city's iconic landmarks, including the Ponte Vecchio and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.

Your Italian adventure comes to an end today. After breakfast, you're free to depart at any time. If you're flying out later in the day, you can store your luggage at the hotel. For those departing from Pisa or Florence airports, we provide complimentary airport transfers.
