After breakfast, we set off for Riga, the capital of Latvia. En route, we stop at the Hill of Crosses, a significant place of pilgrimage in Catholic Lithuania. We then cross into Latvia and visit the magnificent Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland. After a guided tour of the palace, we continue through the scenic landscapes of Southern Latvia, arriving in Riga in the late afternoon.
