Included
9 breakfasts and 4 dinners. The breakfast and dinners are provided at your overnight hotel or a local restaurant. Breakfast will generally be buffet style with breads, cheese, some meats, spreads and perhaps yoghurt and muesli. There will also be juice, coffee and tea available. Dinners will be 3 courses with tea and coffee.
9 nights in 3 star hotels on a twin share basis with ensuite facilities
During the trip you will be accommodated in 3 star hotels, specially chosen for their location and service. Rooms will typically be twin share with a private bathroom. Included meals are taken at the hotel or a nearby restaurant and drinks are available for purchase through the restaurant. Most hotels will have wifi although it may be limited to the lobby. Air conditioning in hotels in this region is not commonplace.

The standard bike is a good quality trekking bike, (Velo-de-Ville.com), fitted with large wheels (28”) and puncture resistant tyres, SCHWALBE Marathon Plus, aluminium frame, back rack, mudguards and lamps.
E-bike / Pedelec (pedal electric cycle) of the same brand, VDV, is available to pre-book - supplement applies. Available from day 2, or can be upgraded from the trekking bike during the tour from Klaipeda on Day 4 (Klaipeda is our partner's base town with a bicycle garage) - payable locally.
All rental bikes are equipped with a waterproof back pannier (ORTLIEB) and a chain lock (one for 2 trekking bikes). E-bikes come with a higher security frame lock together with a metal chain, and a small charger which you could use for charging a battery at the hotels when it is needed (eg daily or every second day). All e-bikes are equipped with easy-to-use BOSCH Purion computer and 11 ah Lithium-Ion battery (400 Wh) which lasts for riding in eco mode up to 110 km/70 miles, while the engine supports the rider when pedalling up to 25 kph.
Repair sets with spare tubes are carried by your tour guide and mini/-bus.
A helmet is available on request if booked in advance or upon availability.
Please use the locks to secure your cycles every time they are left unattended (particularly overnight). Most evenings the bikes will be locked up in the hotel garage or on the support vehicle.

Day 1 – Day 1: Arrival in Vilnius

Upon arrival in Vilnius, make your way to your hotel for a two-night stay. Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania for over 600 years, offers a rich historical ambiance. Depending on your arrival time, we suggest a leisurely stroll through the charming old town. At 19:30, join your guide for a welcome meeting.
Day 2 – Day 2: Exploring Vilnius and Trakai

After breakfast, embark on a guided walking tour of Vilnius Old Town, renowned for its beautiful architecture and cobblestone streets. In the afternoon, transfer to Trakai, the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, for a cycling tour around Galve Lake. Optionally, visit the 14th Century Trakai Island Castle. Return to Vilnius for the night.

After breakfast, transfer to Merkine and start your bike ride to Druskininkai, a renowned wellness resort. Cycle through Liškiava, known for its 17-18th Century Dominican monastery. In the afternoon, visit Grutas Park, home to Soviet-era statues. Spend two nights in Druskininkai.

Day 5 – Day 5: Crossing into Poland and Exploring Wigry National Park

Transfer to Poland and start cycling through rolling hills and picturesque landscapes. Visit Suwalki, the largest town in the region, before continuing to Wigry National Park. Check into your hotel for a two-night stay and enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Enjoy a loop ride around Wigry Lake, the largest and one of the most beautiful lakes in the region. Visit the 17th Century Camaldolese Monastery, spectacularly located on a peninsula in the lake. Return to your hotel for the night.
