Good to know

It is recommended to have dinner before the trip. Be aware that the northern lights are a natural phenomenon and therefore we cannot be guaranteed that you will see it. Anyway, our guide will do his best to find them driving to the right place due to weather conditions and KP value (strenght of solar winds). You should know that pictures often show the colors of the northern lights stronger than how they are seen with the naked eyes. To enjoy the northern lights, you spend long periods outdoors, in very cold winter conditions. Therefore, it is recommended that you use very warm layers, preferably wool. We will provide you outdoor clothes and boots. The trip is arranged regardless of the weather. The trip is only canceled due to dangerous weather and/or driving conditions. Choose Alta Havn (Alta Harbour) as your pick up place if you are coming to Alta by cruise ship. Our guide will be there looking for you at the parking place with a black minibus.
