Winter Wonders of the Fjords

Welcome to the enchanting Kingdom of Norway, home to the world's most stunning fjords. Upon your arrival in Bergen, transfer to your hotel on your own (pre-booked shuttle bus or taxi transfers are available). Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring the city or relaxing. Overnight stay at Zander K (or similar).

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, embark on a self-guided tour of Bergen. Wander through iconic sites such as the Hanseatic Bryggen, St. Mary's Church, Hakon's Hall, and the bustling Fish Market. For a panoramic view of the city, take the Fløibanen Funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen. Other notable attractions include the Rosenkrantz Tower, Norwegian Fisheries Museum, Horda Museum, and Fantoft Stave Church. Optionally, you can join a guided food and culture walk. Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before heading to Bergen railway station for a train ride to Voss, a renowned sports hub. From Voss, a shuttle bus will take you through picturesque snowy mountains to Gudvangen. Enjoy some free time for lunch and consider visiting the Viking Village, an open-air museum that transports you back to the Viking era. Continue your journey by shuttle bus to Flåm. Overnight stay at Fretheim Hotel (or similar).

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and choose between a leisurely morning or a snowshoe hike to the breathtaking Stegastein Viewpoint. Later, embark on a thrilling RIB boat safari at 11:45 (meet at Fjord Safari reception at 11:15) to explore Aurlandsfjorden and the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjorden. The 2.5-hour tour offers close encounters with small villages and waterfalls, accompanied by fascinating tales from a professional guide. In the evening, savor Ægir’s Viking Dinner, a 5-course meal paired with unique Ægir beers at Ægir Brewpub. Overnight stay at Fretheim Hotel (or similar).

After breakfast, depart for Myrdal by train. Myrdal station, located 13 km from Flåm, is a mountain railway junction. Board the famous Flåmsbana, one of the steepest train lines in the world, offering spectacular views of nature, steep mountains, waterfalls, and tunnels. In Myrdal, transfer to the Bergen Railway for a scenic journey to Oslo, the Norwegian capital. Find your way to your hotel upon arrival. Overnight stay at Thon Opera Hotel (or similar).

After breakfast at the hotel, explore Oslo at your own pace or join an optional 3-hour Panorama tour by coach with a certified local guide. The tour includes visits to the Holmenkollen Ski Jump and a guided tour of Vigeland Sculpture Park. If you prefer to explore independently, consider visiting Akershus Castle, Oslo City Hall, Fram Museum, Kon-Tiki Museum, Munch Museum, National History Museum, Nobel Peace Center, and more.
