This immersive experience takes you through the heart of Poland’s capital, revealing the poignant stories and landmarks that shaped its Jewish community.
Your journey begins with a visit to the remnants of the World War II Jewish Ghetto, where you’ll see commemorative plaques along the surviving ghetto wall. Explore the Muranów district, once the site of the large ghetto, and stop at the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes, honoring the courage of those who resisted during the 1943 uprising.
Continue to the Nożyk Synagogue, the only prewar Jewish house of prayer still standing in Warsaw, and the Jewish Cemetery, where generations of Varsovian Jews rest. Please note, both the synagogue and cemetery are closed from Friday evening through Saturday for the Sabbath, but your guide will suggest alternative historical sites during this time.
The tour also includes stops at the "Footbridge of Memory," the building where Judenrat president Adam Czerniakow lived, and the departure point to Treblinka. If you wish, you can end your tour at the Museum of the History of Polish Jews. Hotel pickup and drop-off in the city center are included for your convenience.
