SACHSENHAUSEN CONCENTRATION CAMP T20 (4hrs)(35 EUR)

In this visit we will know a piece of our contemporary history. It is a concentration camp and not an extermination camp. When it was created in 1936, it became the "university" for SS members who then had to control other fields.

We will cruise on Lake Wannsee where on January 20, 1942, the Nazi government approved the "final solution" of the Jewish question, crossing the wonderful residential area of Berlin with its old mansions owned by former high officials of the regime, located at along several lakes that lead us to the famous "Bridge of the Spies".

Departing in the morning, include a cable car ride in Steinplatte up to the high mountains in the alpine region, with snow 9 months a year and fantastic scenery. Today we have a very exciting day in the Netherlands. We will go to Zaanse Schans with its mills, canals, and its typical houses. Next, visit Volendam, a very picturesque fishing village. A short boat trip from Volendam will take us to Marken (an island that was joined to the mainland by a fixed dike), where the houses there are built on stilts. After this, travel to Amsterdam where we will enjoy a panoramic visit of the city to see its narrow canals, its official buildings, and parks. We will also see the technique of diamond cutting. A large part of the visit will be done on foot, the information will be given through headphones. Time for dinner in Rembrandtplein, an area with many restaurants from all corners of the world and near the red-light district with its liberal values. Return to the hotel.
