Continue your journey past the Eagle Rock to Porto da Cruz, a traditional center of sugar cane cultivation. Visit Santana, known for its traditional thatched houses. After lunch, hike through the lush vegetation to the Os Balces viewpoint, located in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Laurisilva forest. End your day at Pico do Arieiro, the island's third-highest peak, and enjoy stunning views of the valleys of Ribeiro Frio and Fajã da Nogueira.
