Hiking Fees in Madeira A small fee of €3 is required for non-resident hikers over the age of 12 to enjoy over 30 stunning trails (PR). Some must-see trails include PR1 Vereda do Arieiro, PR6 Levada do Risco, PR8 Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço, PR9 Levada do Caldeirão Verde, PR11 Vereda dos Balcões and PR18 Levada do Rei. You can easily pay this fee through the "Simplifica" portal or at ICNF stations on many of the trails. Just a friendly reminder—if you forget to pay, you might face a fine of up to €50.
