It will take us through a spider web of lakes, canals, brooks, gypses in the youngest land of Romania, until we reach the Caraorman ridge, where with specially equipped cars we will follow the trail of the robber Terente in the Caraorman forest among centuries-old oaks and over dunes of sand.
Or you can opt to visit the old village on foot, where you can find the ruins of the former quartz (silicon dioxide) extraction factory from the sand, the oldest wooden / adobe church in the Danube Delta and many households with an architecture specific to the area.
When our human hunger is satisfied, we will have lunch in the home of some young Haholii, delicious fish dishes.
With nostalgia, we leave this grind and will return to Murighiol through other channels known only to local fishermen.
In the evening, those who wish can enjoy grilled dishes and many other deltaic specialties at the MANU BBQ-Murighiol Restaurant.
