Dracula Tour in Romania from Bucharest including 'The Ritual of Killing of a Living Dead

Welcome to Romania! Your journey begins in the vibrant city of Bucharest, where you'll meet your English-speaking guide at the centrally located Moxa Boutique Hotel (or similar). From there, you'll drive to the town of Snagov to visit the Snagov Monastery, a beautiful monastic establishment located on a small island in Snagov Lake. According to legend, this is the final resting place of Vlad the Impaler. After exploring the monastery, you'll return to Bucharest for a welcome dinner at one of the city's top traditional restaurants.

On the second day, you'll leave Bucharest and head to the town of Curtea de Arges. Here, you'll visit the famous Curtea de Arges Monastery and learn about the legend of its builder, Master Manole. From there, you'll continue to Sibiu, the European Cultural Capital for 2007. This fortified town, known for its German influence and stunning architecture, will be your home for the night. You'll stay in a 4-star hotel (or similar) and have the evening free to explore the city's numerous tourist attractions.

Day three starts with a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Sibiu. You'll then set off for Hunedoara, where you'll visit the magnificent Corvinesti Castle, a stunning example of Gothic architecture. From there, you'll drive to Turda, a quaint town known for its medieval atmosphere and one of the oldest salt mines in Romania. After a day of exploration, you'll enjoy a special 'vampire menu' for dinner before participating in the Ritual of Killing of the Living Dead. The day ends with a late arrival in Cluj-Napoca, where you'll spend the night in a cozy 4-star hotel (or similar).

On the fourth day, you'll embark on a city tour of Cluj-Napoca, where you'll discover beautiful medieval buildings like Saint Andrews Cathedral. From there, you'll follow in the footsteps of Jonathan Harker, the protagonist of Bram Stoker's novel, Dracula, as you drive to Bistrita. You'll spend the night at the Golden Crown Hotel (or similar), and if you wish, you can enjoy the Jonathan Harker menu for dinner.

On the fifth day, you'll leave Bistrita and head to the medieval citadel of Sighisoara, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, also known as Dracula. Here, you'll explore the city's main attractions, including The Clock Tower, The Torture Room, The Medieval Weapon Collection, and the Church of the Dominican Monastery. You'll spend the night in a charming 3-star hotel (or similar) located in the heart of the medieval citadel.

On the sixth day, you'll explore Transylvania's symbol, Bran Castle, also known as Dracula's Castle. You'll then head to the Medieval Saxon City of Brasov, home to the Black Church, the largest gothic edifice in South-Eastern Europe. After a day of exploration, you'll enjoy a local taste dinner and attend Dracula's Wedding, a unique show set on stage by a professional band of actors. You'll spend the night in a centrally located 3-star hotel (or similar) in Brasov.

On the final day of the tour, you'll drive to Sinaia, known as the pearl of mountain resorts in Romania. Here, you'll visit the royal Peles Castle, an architectural masterpiece and one of the best preserved royal residences in Europe. From there, you'll continue to Targoviste to visit the ruins of Vlad Tepes old court, the former capital of Walachia County. The tour concludes with a late arrival in Bucharest.
