Private 11-Day Transylvania, Apuseni, Maramures and Bucovina Tour with Hotel Pick Up/ Drop Off

After breakfast, we'll visit the medieval town of Sibiu, known for its aristocratic elegance and vibrant cultural scene. Enjoy a guided walking tour through the cobbled streets and explore the town's historical buildings and churches. We'll also visit the Astra Ethnographic Museum, Europe's largest open-air ethnographic museum. After a day of exploration, we'll return to Sibiel Village for another relaxing night at the Ramona guest house (or similar), complete with a 3-course dinner, wine, and Romanian plums brandy.

Today, we'll visit the Hunyadi Castle in Hunedoara, one of the seven wonders of Romania and a place of chilling legends. We'll also explore Alba Iulia's star-shaped citadel, one of Transylvania's most impressive sights. After a day of historical exploration, we'll transfer to Garda de Sus, where you'll spend the night in a 3-star guest house (or similar), with a 3-course dinner and breakfast included.

After breakfast, we'll visit the Turda Salt Mine, one of the largest in Europe and a unique underground wonder. We'll then head to Maramures, Romania's most traditional region, dotted with steepled wooden churches and ornately carved gates. We'll visit the Desești and Poienile Izei Churches, both listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. We'll then transfer to Botiza Village, where you'll spend the night at the Cretuca Pension (or similar), with a 3-course dinner, traditional plum brandy, and breakfast included.

After breakfast, we'll visit the Nicolae Popa Ethnographic Museum before heading to the Bicaz Gorges and Lacu Roșu, a beautiful lake surrounded by natural beauty. Enjoy a traditional Hungarian lunch before transferring to Sighisoara, a medieval town known for its well-preserved walled old town. You'll spend the night in Sighisoara at the Casa Wagner Hotel (or similar), with breakfast included.

Today, we'll explore Sighisoara, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. We'll visit the Clock Tower, the Church on the Hill, and the house where Vlad the Impaler was born. We'll then visit Viscri, an authentic Transylvanian village and home to the oldest fortified church in Transylvania. Our last stop for the day is the famous Bran Castle, known for its association with the Dracula legend. We'll then transfer to Brasov Town, where you'll spend the night.

On the final day of our tour, we'll visit The Bears Sanctuary, a unique refuge for rescued bears. We'll also explore the Râșnov Fortress, a medieval citadel with a rich history. Our last destination is the tourist town of Sinaia, where we'll visit Peles Castle, the summer residence of the former Romanian royal family. We'll then transfer you back to your hotel in Bucharest or to OTP International Airport, marking the end of our unforgettable journey through Romania.
