Highland Fling

We embark on our journey from Edinburgh, heading north to marvel at the magnificent Kelpies. As we pass Stirling, we'll catch glimpses of the imposing Wallace Monument and its stunning Castle. We'll journey through the wild Scottish Highlands, catching sight of the medieval Doune Castle, a location featured in popular TV shows like Outlander and Game of Thrones. Our next stop is the hauntingly beautiful Glen Coe, where we'll learn about its tragic history. We'll end our day in the lively fishing town of Oban, where we'll enjoy fresh seafood and a traditional Scottish ceilidh.

Our journey continues north past Fort William, where we'll spot the towering Ben Nevis, the UK's highest mountain. We'll be captivated by the rugged Highland scenery and the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, also known as the 'Harry Potter Bridge'. Our day concludes on the enchanting Isle of Skye, where we'll spend the evening in a local pub, enjoying local ale, whisky, and lively conversation.

We'll spend the day exploring the magical Isle of Skye, known for its breathtaking waterfalls, ancient mountains, and stunning coastline. We'll hear tales of Vikings, ancient monarchs, and mischievous faeries. As we return to the mainland, we'll stop at the photogenic Eilean Donan Castle and the Dundreggan Rewilding Centre to learn about Scotland's ancient Caledonian Forest. We'll then journey along the Great Glen, taking in views of Loch Ness, before arriving in Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands.

We'll start our day with a leisurely stroll along the shores of the mysterious Loch Ness. Our journey then takes us through the stunning North West Highlands to the picturesque town of Beauly, known for its historic Priory. We'll visit the enigmatic Clava Cairns, a prehistoric burial site, and the haunting Culloden Battlefield, where we'll learn about Bonnie Prince Charlie and the 1746 Jacobite Rising. We'll then return to Inverness for the night.

We leave Inverness and visit the Highland Folk Museum to experience Highland life from centuries past. We'll then head to a local whisky distillery for a taste of Scotland's 'water of life'. Our final stop is Dunkeld, where we'll stroll through the charming village and visit the historic cathedral. We'll return to Edinburgh in the early evening, bringing our unforgettable journey to a close.
