Our journey begins as we head north from Edinburgh, pausing to admire the magnificent Kelpies, the world's largest equine sculptures. As we continue, we'll pass by Stirling Castle and catch a glimpse of Doune Castle, famous for its appearances in Monty Python, Outlander, and Game of Thrones. The scenic beauty of Glen Coe awaits us, and we'll spot Ben Nevis, the UK's highest peak, en route to Loch Ness. Here, we'll delve into the legend of 'Nessie' before arriving in Inverness for the night. Enjoy a leisurely evening exploring the River Ness and Inverness Castle, followed by a visit to local bars and restaurants.

Begin your day with the fresh air and stunning views at Corrieshalloch Gorge. We then journey north along a picturesque road to Ullapool, where we'll board a ferry to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. Keep an eye out for dolphins during the crossing! Upon arrival, we'll head to Harris in the south to visit the renowned Harris Distillery. Afterward, we return to Lewis for an overnight stay in Stornoway. Enjoy your evening exploring the town's charming atmosphere.

Today, immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of the Isle of Lewis. Step back in time at the Iron Age broch of Dun Carloway and experience 17th-century island life at the Gearrannan Blackhouse Village. Discover the rugged beauty of the Atlantic coastline and visit the Butt of Lewis, the island's northernmost point, to witness the dramatic sea cliffs and isolated lighthouse. Spend your evening in Stornoway, exploring the harbour and indulging in fresh seafood at local restaurants.

As we depart from Stornoway, we'll visit a memorial that sheds light on the darker aspects of island life. Spend the day exploring the beautiful beaches of the Isle of Harris and visit the island's oldest medieval church. In the afternoon, we'll catch a ferry to the Isle of Skye, where the charming town of Portree will be our base for the next two nights. Enjoy the evening sampling local seafood and whisky or take a scenic walk around town.

On our final day, we explore more of the beautiful Isle of Skye before taking a ferry to the fishing village of Mallaig. Experience the breathtaking journey over the Glenfinnan Viaduct on the Jacobite Steam Train, famously featured in Harry Potter. Our scenic route back to Edinburgh takes us through the stunning Cairngorms National Park, arriving in the city by evening. Please note that Jacobite Steam Train tickets are limited and only standard class seating is available.
