Isle of Skye & Outer Hebrides

Our journey begins as we head north, pausing to admire the majestic Kelpies, the largest equine sculptures in the world. As we pass Stirling Castle and catch a glimpse of Doune Castle, we delve into Scotland's rich history. The scenic beauty of Glen Coe and the towering Ben Nevis guide us towards the legendary Loch Ness. After exploring the mysteries of 'Nessie,' we arrive in Inverness for an overnight stay. Enjoy a leisurely evening with a stroll along the River Ness or visit Inverness Castle for panoramic city views.

Begin your day with the fresh air and stunning scenery of Corrieshalloch Gorge. We then travel north, taking a scenic ferry ride from Ullapool to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, keeping an eye out for dolphins. Upon arrival, we head to Harris in the south to visit the renowned Harris Distillery. We return to Lewis for an overnight stay in Stornoway, where you can explore the local bars and restaurants.

Embark on a cultural journey through the Isle of Lewis. Visit the ancient Callanish Standing Stones and the Iron Age broch of Dun Carloway. Experience 17th-century island life at Gearrannan Blackhouse Village and explore the rugged Atlantic coastline. At the Butt of Lewis, witness the dramatic sea cliffs and isolated lighthouse. Return to Stornoway for free time to wander around the harbour and enjoy fresh seafood.

Departing from Stornoway, we visit a memorial highlighting the island's darker history. Spend the day exploring the beautiful beaches and the oldest medieval church on the Isle of Harris. We then catch a ferry to the Isle of Skye, arriving in Portree for a two-night stay. Enjoy the local seafood and whisky or take a scenic walk in the evening.

Spend a magical day exploring the Isle of Skye. Visit the enchanted waters of the Sligachan River with views of the Cuillin mountains. Drive over the Skye bridge to see the iconic Eilean Donan Castle. Enjoy free time in Portree, exploring its shops, restaurants, and picturesque harbour. End the day by visiting Skye's most iconic landmarks, Kilt Rock and the Old Man of Storr.

Explore more of the Isle of Skye before taking the ferry to the fishing village of Mallaig. Experience the world-famous Jacobite Steam Train journey over the Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous by Harry Potter. We then take the scenic route back to Edinburgh through the Cairngorms National Park, arriving in the evening.
