Day 1 – Day 1: Edinburgh to Oban

We commence our journey from Edinburgh, heading towards the iconic Kelpies. As we move north, we catch glimpses of the majestic Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. Post a delightful lunch, we enter the Highlands, traversing through the wild Rannoch Moor and Glen Coe, finally reaching the charming fishing town of Oban for an overnight stay.

Day two takes us on the Jacobite Steam Train, renowned as the world's best train journey, from Fort William to Mallaig. We cross the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, featured in the Harry Potter movies, and enjoy the panoramic views of Loch Shiel. We then take a ferry 'Over the Sea to Skye' and drive to our overnight destination, Portree.

Day three is dedicated to exploring the Isle of Skye's stunning coastline, awe-inspiring mountains, and intriguing local folklore. We then return to the mainland, stopping at the picturesque Eilean Donan Castle. We journey along the Great Glen, heading towards Loch Ness, and finally reach Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, for our overnight stay.

On day four, we embark on a cruise on Loch Ness, keeping an eye out for the elusive 'Nessie'. We then head north to the quaint town of Beauly, visiting the historic Beauly Priory. After lunch, we explore the Culloden Battlefield, the site of the last battle fought on British soil, and the mysterious Clava Cairns, both of which inspired the hit TV series Outlander. We return to Inverness for an overnight stay.

On the final day, we leave Inverness and visit the Highland Folk Museum to get a glimpse of Highland life from past centuries. We then head to a local whisky distillery for a tour and a taste of the 'water of life'. Our last stop is Dunkeld, where we take a walk through the quaint village, visit the cathedral, and enjoy the serene River Tay. We return to Edinburgh in the evening, marking the end of our unforgettable journey.
