This tour was easily the highlight of our trip to Bratislava. My family enjoys history, and our tour guide, Martin, was a wealth of knowledge about Bratislava's pre- and post-communist past, and of course the numerous decades under communism. He drove us around to numerous monuments and communist-era locales, all while giving both historic and contemporary context of Bratislava's past. He also spoke of Slovakia's current political environment, how even now it is seeing a resurgence of authoritarianism among certain politicians. As I write this review, there are news of protests in Bratislava which speaks to the importance of understanding history and understanding how events around the world impact us all.

Everything about the post-Communism tour was excellent!
Peter's tour showed so many fascinating aspects of life pre- and post-Communism in Bratislava, and he made it all so interesting. He patiently and kindly explained the history of Bratislava and the sites we visited, and he answered all my questions with a clear love of the country, his substantial expertise, and his good sense of humor.
It was also cool to ride in the comfortable, clean, and well-maintained/restored vintage car from the era of Communism, and it was a treat that the tour included his offering snacks still manufactured today, from the Communist period. I enjoyed every minute of the tour. And I recommend it to all: you will be glad you went, as I am.

Lukáš gave us a very detailed glance at the influence of the USSR on polítics, architecture and on the daily life of slovaks during the 40 years of communist regime. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved this tour. Peter our guide was amazing and we learned so much about the history of Bratislava and took us to places we would not have visited without the tour. The old Skoda really made the tour. Thank you Peter. It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it

This was one of the most informative and interesting tour that we have been on. To see how Bratislava has “risen from the ashes” to the bright and vibrant city it is today is truly inspiring. Our guide Brian was wonderful We can never forget!

Wonderful insights into life in Bratislava under Communism, especially for anyone with childhood memories. Brano took me around in the 1970s Škoda, picked me up at a tailored location and time.

A truly fantastic tour! Learned a lot about contemporary Bratislava from our top-notch guide, Brano. He was candid and full of interesting information about the city and its modern history. Drove about the city in a vintage car, stopped at multiple sites, had coffee and learned more about Slovakia than I thought possible over the few hours we had together. One of the best tours I’ve ever taken — can’t rank it high enough!

That is very nice to read, we are happy you had such a positive experience, thank you Spencer!

All of us agreed this was easily the best tour we have ever been on.
I was looking for a fun way to show Bratislava to my team, and heard great things about these guys. They exceeded any expectations. Interesting places, amazing storytelling from the last century, a crappy car, many good jokes - and “lovely” consumables. Also, we were very lucky to experience snow - it added a whole other layer to the experience.
The thing I love about these, often messed up stories, is that they (imo) actually shaped the Slovak society and Bratislava into what it is today - and it feels more real than a story from the austro-hungarian times in the city centre.

We are happy your team enjoyed the experience and many thanks for your kind words! :)
