Challenge yourself with an epic road cycling adventure up Mount Teide, starting from Puerto de la Cruz in Tenerife, Spain. This iconic climb, stretching 47 kilometers at a steady 5% gradient, is famed as the longest consecutive ascent in Europe and attracts cyclists from around the world.
Your journey covers a total of 94 kilometers with a demanding 2,400-meter altitude gain. Along the way, you'll pass through charming villages, lush forested areas, and stunning viewpoints overlooking Puerto de la Cruz, the coastline, and the vast Atlantic Ocean. There are plenty of opportunities to pause and capture the breathtaking scenery.
The final 11 kilometers take you into Teide National Park, where the landscape transforms into a dramatic, almost lunar terrain. This unique environment offers a truly unforgettable backdrop as you push towards the summit before enjoying a well-earned break at the top.
After conquering the climb, you'll experience an exhilarating descent back to Puerto de la Cruz. The tour lasts approximately five to six hours and is guided in English, Italian, Danish, or Spanish. Bottled water and a knowledgeable guide are included for your comfort and safety.
