We loved this tour! It was the perfect amount of time and balance between riding and sightseeing. The tour guide was amazing and so knowledgeable about the windmills and the history of the Netherlands in general. The meeting point was an easy train ride from Amsterdam and the tour guide met us right at the train stop. Would 1000% recommend this tour

I enjoyed the tour. There was not as much cycling as I expected. But it was fun, beautiful and interesting.

I liked the information shared by our guide Jakob; I really learned a lot about 17th/18th century Dutch and French history. What I did not like was that it’s not really a “country” bike tour, you’re riding through the city and past busy streets before you reach the windmill area where it’s very crowded with pedestrians so difficult to navigate. The bike I was given was not maintained properly so the handle bars were “waffling” and made it difficult to keep straight and even more difficult to make turns. This was not my first time on a bike so I know what the experience should feel like. I ended up falling off my bike twice and if it weren’t for my friends I don’t think Jakob really would have stopped to make sure I was able to continue. He didn’t seem concerned. Anyway, the bottom line is, as the tour organization you need to make sure your bikes are in proper working order before giving them out to riders.

Really enjoyed the wooden ship mill with fantastic explanation of history & how it works

I would have preferred to explore the countryside more. Too many people on the mills site. The time was perhaps not the best chosen so as not to believe you were at Disneyland… The guide was very nice but I am disappointed.

This was a local Dutch experience- very enjoyable for both adults and kids. The only downside was the bike for my 10 year old daughter was a bit small, but she wasn’t tall enough for the adult bikes. Once she got going she enjoyed the tour very much. We also didn’t see the wooden shoe factory however we had a true Dutch day of weather, with a big down-pour mid ride which did alter the itinerary a little. Overall, we loved this experience and would definitely recommend.

It was short. Only saw windmill and no other spots visited. You are better off renting your own bike.

Our tour guide was great older man. He is so interesting and polite. We entered in private parts inside of windmills because of him. So interesting. Also, we leant a lot about this place and it was a very nice tour. It says that the tour was on French, but we asked to speak in English and there was no problem. We spoke in English all the time. Higly recommend.
