Amazing!

Despite the freezing temperatures, this was a fun day out. Kay was a well-informed, interesting, friendly host. My partner and I enjoyed all the food sampled on this well-organised tour and hearing the history of the town. Even my partner, who knows Harrogate well, was introduced to some new independent eateries. Food was tasty and of decent portion size. I'd definitely recommend.

Amazing!

I’d never visited Harrogate and this was a great way to make its acquaintance. Kay was a wonderful host; guiding a gentle stroll whilst giving an informative bite size history of Harrogate along the way. When we arrived at our tastings she explained what we would be eating/drinking, the back story to the establishments and how they strive to source local ingredients and then serve in delicious imaginative ways. We enjoyed 5 different tastings and I enjoyed all of them! By the end of the tour I can honestly say I was full and I have a good appetite. I am delighted to have discovered Yorkshire Appetite Tours and would not hesitate in recommending or indeed taking one of their other tours in the future.

Amazing!

A great few hours spent in lovely Harrogate visiting five independent eateries for three courses followed by gin tasting and local cheeses. All this plus some fascinating narrative on the history of Harrogate over the years. Highly recommended!

Amazing!

I went with my partner on the Food Tour as we had received it as a gift. It was snowing on the day and we thought we were going to be late, but once we arrived, we soon realised it was a very relaxed atmosphere with no strict time schedule, and that set the tone for the entire day really. Kay made the group feel very comfortable and within a few minutes, we were soon introducing ourselves to the group of around five others and swapping life stories.

Kay was extremely informative about each of the venues we visited. We are actually Harrogate residents, have been for four years, and we still hadn't been to most of these places. Who knew that the famous Blues Bar also served Yorkshire Tapas?! It was great visiting the 'lesser known' food spots, and the food flowed very well in terms of how it was structured. We started with a small breakfast, then moved on to a small mains, with various desserts options later. We covered all corners of Harrogate so it's great if you are wanting to combine sight-seeing with food. The time flew by and we really enjoyed ourselves. We would certainly recommend booking!

Lovely afternoon despite the gloomy weather. Linda was a great tour leader, friendly, informative and humorous. The food was lovely- a great choice of venues, and I enjoyed hearing about the local history as we strolled to our next course.

Recommend.

Amazing!

We thoroughly enjoyed the food tour of Harrogate and would highly recommend. We sampled delicious foods from filled Yorkshire puddings to a selection of ice creams. The pace was just right and the guide Kay was attentive and very informative but not intrusive. Everything was perfect and we’ll be looking to book another.

Amazing!

I was quite sceptical about this tour as I visit Harrogate often and didn't think there was much need for a tour. How wrong was I. My friends and I met a lady called Linda outside a local cafe where we had our first experience, Linda proved to be very knowledgeable, interesting and extremely nice she fit in with our group fantastically. As the morning went on the weather took a turn and started to rain which didn't spoil the day at all as we were having a fabulous time, the food we experienced was outstanding and so much of it - (we did add a bottle of wine to the menue) 😀 Linda told us about the history of Harrogate inbetween eating, drinking and walking, stopping at locations along the way which was so interesting. I would definitely recommend this tour, there is also another that Linda does in Ripon which I'm looking forward to doing next year, hopefully!! and to met Linda again.
