Amazing!

Went to see the orchids from Peru exhibition in the Princess of Wales conservatory. Really beautiful. It's timed entry. We booked for 11.30am. Website said to be prepared to queue for up to 30 mins. The queue was long and a separate queue for the midday booking had started. However we were inside within 25 mins. The staff were amazing and did a fantastic job of directing visitors to the correct queue and keeping us updated. Bag search on way in. Always surprised by people who bring suitcases and child buggies to such events. They were asked to leave these at entrance and collect on exit. Well worth a visit. Beautiful orchids, amazing staff. Leave your large bags at home.

Amazing!

We came especially for the orchid festival as we have done for years. We booked tickets a month ago and joined the queue for the glasshouse at our allotted time and we waited 24 minutes to get in. There is an extensive bag search. You can't bring weapons in for example! The display was impressive, we especially liked the smaller sculptures like birds and butterflies although the large artworks are impressive. As usual we brought our own food. The short film is worthwhile.

Kew Gardens, officially known as the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, is one of the most stunning and inspiring places you can visit in London. With an extensive collection of plants from around the world, this botanical garden is a true paradise for nature lovers.

Upon entering, you are greeted by an impressive variety of themed gardens, lush greenhouses, and tranquil landscapes. The Palm House, with its majestic palms and tropical atmosphere, is a must-see highlight. It's fascinating to see rare and exotic plants that you wouldn't typically find anywhere else.

The well-maintained pathways invite leisurely strolls, and each corner reveals new surprises, from serene lakes to vibrant flower areas. The variety of plants and flowers changes with the seasons, meaning each visit offers something new to discover.

In addition to its natural beauty, Kew Gardens is also an important center for botanical research and conservation. The educational exhibits are informative and engaging, making the experience even more enriching.

If you're in London, a visit to Kew Gardens is absolutely essential. It's a place where you can relax, learn, and marvel at the diversity of nature. A true oasis in the city!

I have been wanting to go to Kew for years so finally got the chance and I loved it! We went in January so granted a lot of the garden is asleep but there's still plenty to see and do and it wasn't very busy (bonus!) I loved the glass houses and we saw some very unusual plants some very rare. There were bananas and carnivorous plants and some tropical flowers. I loves climbing up to the top of the conservatories and seeing the jungles below. They were also a nice warm break form the cold outdoors! The grounds outside were atmospheric in the winter the Japanese garden and pagoda were lovely and we saw the London parakeets on the treetop walk. The hive sculpture was fun. The food at the cafe and the grill were both excellent, healthy seasonal choices and delicious. We didn't manage to see it all in one day so will definitely return and experience it in another season.

We went to Kew Gardens on a very crisp icy day and it was absolutely stunning!!

The outside plants being covered in ice and frost created a beautiful scene in the full sunshine. The trees also looked beautiful in the conditions.

We went into the palm house and the temperate house which were absolutely stunning. It took my breath away seeing all the species in there, the level of detail and information was incredible. And the opportunity to walk above the plants added to the magic of the trip. The level of detail on the displays surpassed all expectations.

I cannot put into enough words how amazing our few hours was here. I can't wait to come back in the summer!!

Amazing!

They are about to renovate some of the older buildings, which is needed. The plants are great, but some of the buildings are tired. The best are the Princess of Wales roooms, and the tree walk, but good overall. Helpful staff.

Having read some of the bad reviews people have shared for Christmas at Kew this year, I wanted to share my experience of the great visit me and my friend have just returned from! It’s our second time visiting Christmas at Kew, and this year we actually found our visit even better than the first time. I think for your money you see a lot of nice and varied different installations, and get great value for money! I’ve been to several different lights trails over the years and Kew definitely remains as the best one that I’ve been to! Would happily return again next year, thankyou Kew!
