Today, we journey to Cappadocia, stopping in Ankara to visit the mausoleum and museum of Kemal Ataturk, a revered Turkish leader. After learning about Ataturk's progressive reforms and strategic command during World War I, we continue our scenic drive through the Lakeland region before reaching the unique landscapes of Cappadocia.

Today, we journey to Pamukkale, stopping en route at the 13th-century Sultanhan Caravanserai and the city of Konya. In Konya, visit the Mevlana Museum, the original lodge of the Mevlevi Whirling Dervishes and a significant place of pilgrimage. In the evening, you have the option to watch a mesmerizing performance by the Whirling Dervishes.

This morning, we drive to the coastal city of Antalya. Here, we explore the ancient city of Perge, originally settled by the Hittites around 1500BC, and Aspendos, home to one of the best-preserved amphitheatres in the world.

Today, we drive to the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the largest and best-preserved ancient cities in the Mediterranean. Explore its Roman theatres, fountains, buildings, churches, and temples. In the afternoon, visit a Turkish leather manufacturing house where you can browse and purchase high-quality leather goods.

Departing early, we visit Bergama, the site of the ancient city of Pergamum, and Troy, the ancient city made famous by Homer's Odyssey. Explore the ancient acropolis of Pergamum and the Altar of Zeus before continuing to the city of Canakkale.

After breakfast, we cross the Dardanelles to visit the poignant battlefields of Gallipoli, where over 11,000 Anzacs lost their lives during World War I. Visit key sites such as Anzac Cove, Lone Pine, Chunuk Bair, The Nek, and other Turkish and Allied trenches. Afterwards, we drive back to Istanbul.
