We set off from Istanbul in the early morning, heading for the Gallipoli Peninsula. Here, we'll visit the deeply moving WW1 Battlefields of Gallipoli, including the Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair Memorials, ANZAC Cove, Johnston's Jolly, The Nek, and original trenches and tunnels. We'll spend the night in a special class accommodation in Çanakkale.

On the second day, we'll step back in time as we explore the ancient city of Troy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the new, award-winning Troy Museum. We'll then continue to Bergama and ascend to the magnificent acropolis of Pergamon, a renowned cultural and political centre in its time. We'll end the day in Kuşadası, where we'll enjoy a boutique breakfast and dinner.

Day three will be a day of historical immersion as we take a guided tour of Ephesus and visit the site of the Temple of Artemis. We'll then continue to the former Greek village of Sirince, renowned for its fruit wines. We'll also learn about the long tradition of carpet weaving in Turkey and what determines the value of these handcrafted pieces. We'll return to our boutique accommodation in Kuşadası for breakfast and dinner.

On day four, we'll head to Pamukkale, known for its magnificent white calcium terraces, known as Travertines. We'll also tour the ancient city of Hierapolis and take a therapeutic dip in the hot springs, used in Roman times for their healing powers.
