Classical tour of Albania

Today, we traverse the stunning mountainous landscapes of southeastern Albania, with the Vjosa river as our constant companion. Our journey takes us to the small town of Permet before we reach the museum city of Gjirokastra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as the 'City of Stone', Gjirokastra is home to the impressive Gjirokastër Fortress and over 500 preserved homes. Spend the night in this historical city.

Today, we start with a visit to the Blue Eye water spring, a natural phenomenon that is sure to leave you spellbound. We then drive to the Natural Park of Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its archaeological and historical significance. Explore the Old Amphitheatre, the Temple of Aesculapius, the Baptistery with its colorful mosaics, and the ancient city walls. After a day of exploration, we head to Saranda for an overnight stay.

Start your day with a scenic drive along the Albanian Riviera, making a stop at the Llogara National Park. Next, we visit the archaeological site of Apollonia, a testament to the country's ancient past. In the afternoon, we explore the city of Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the 'town of a thousand windows'. Its collection of white Ottoman houses and the castle on the hill make for a picturesque setting. We spend the night in Berat.

Today, we visit the ancient city of Durres, home to the largest amphitheater in the Balkan Peninsula. From Durres, we travel to the medieval town of Kruja, where you can explore the old bazaar and visit the 6th-century fortress. We also visit the Ethnographic and History Museums before heading to Tirana for the night.

Spend the day exploring Tirana, a city known for its colorful architecture. Walk along the main boulevard, visit the National History Museum, the E'them Bey Mosque, and the Clock Tower. Don't miss the Blloku district and the Bunk'Art 1, a museum that was once a nuclear bunker. The afternoon is free for you to explore at your leisure. Overnight in Tirana.
