Cycle Tour In Albania - UNESCO 10 Day Tour

Begin your Albanian adventure upon arrival at Tirana airport. After a warm welcome, you'll be transferred to your hotel in the city center. Depending on your flight schedule, you'll have the opportunity to explore Tirana, visiting Enver Hoxha's nuclear bunker and the National Museum of History. Your tour guide will provide a detailed overview of the upcoming journey over a relaxing welcome dinner.

After a two-hour transfer to the northern side of Lake Ohrid, you'll start cycling along the scenic lakeshore towards Pogradec. Upon reaching your hotel in Tushemisht, enjoy a waterfront lunch at Drilon National Park. In the afternoon, continue cycling into Macedonia to visit the Monastery of St Naum.

Leaving Lake Ohrid behind, you'll cycle through a high plateau bounded by mountains towards Korçë, known as the Paris of Albania. Depending on your arrival time, you'll have the chance to explore the old market and its charming cobblestone streets. End your day with a short walking tour of this important cultural and historical city.

Depart from Korçë and ascend into the border mountains, passing through a landscape of barren rock and wildflowers. After a lunch stop in Ersekë, the highest city in Albania, continue to Sotirë farm. Here, you'll spend the night in a tranquil valley, relaxing by the fish ponds with a glass of the family's special red wine.

Start the day with a climb to a high pine forest plateau, then descend through the spectacular River Vjosa gorge to Leskovik. After a thrilling ride to Përmet, known for its cuisine and strong raki, continue to the thermal pools of Langarica for a relaxing dip.

Continue your journey towards Gjirokastër, a beautiful 'museum' town. After checking into your hotel, explore the charming cobbled alleyways and traditional houses. Don't miss the Gjirokastër Castle, perched on a cliff, offering stunning views of the city. If you're lucky, you might catch one of the city's cultural festivals.

Start the day with a transfer to the top of Muzina pass, then cycle towards Sarandë, the gateway to southern Albania. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Butrint, one of the country's most important archaeological treasures. After a guided tour, continue along the coast with the island of Corfu in sight.

Enjoy a rollercoaster ride from Sarandë to Himarë, passing through cols, bays, and headlands with stunning coastal views. Along the way, visit the mysterious Porto Palermo Castle. Upon reaching Himarë, take a refreshing swim in the clear blue waters of the Albanian Riviera.

Today's ride is the most challenging yet spectacular. You'll climb from sea level up to 1,000m through forests, gorges, and hairpin bends. After lunch in the beautiful Llogara National Park, descend towards Vlorë for an afternoon's relaxation by the Ionian coast.

After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Tirana airport for your departure, marking the end of your unforgettable Albanian adventure. For those staying another night in Tirana or continuing on other adventures, a separate transfer will be provided.
