Day 1 – Day 1: Tirana/Podgorica - Tamarë - Shkoder - Lëpushë - Vuthaj

Kick off your adventure with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Tirana or Podgorica. We'll drive towards Tamarë, passing through the city of Shkoder. From Tamarë, we'll start our hiking journey through the Peaks of the Balkans, exploring the highest section of the Dinaric Alps. Our first stop is the small village of Lëpushë, known for its stunning nature and unique culinary delights. We'll then hike to the breathtaking Talijanka peak, crossing the border into Montenegro. From here, we'll take a minivan to Vuthaj, where you can visit the Ali Pasha springs or simply relax and soak in the views. Overnight in a guesthouse in Vuthaj (or similar).
Day 2 – Day 2: Vuthaj - Arapi Peak - Theth

Day 2 takes us from Vuthaj back to Albania, heading towards the picturesque village of Theth. During our trek, we'll visit a hidden water place and pass by the towering Arapi peak. We'll also encounter shepherd's huts, offering a glimpse into a life away from civilization. In Theth, we'll visit the Old Church and the Lock in Tower, both steeped in centuries of history. Overnight in a guesthouse in Theth (or similar).
Day 3 – Day 3: Theth - Valbona Pass - Valbona Valley

Prepare for an intense day of trekking from Theth to Valbona, a journey that offers spectacular views of the Peaks of the Balkans and the Accursed Mountains. The Valbona Pass is a highlight of the trip, offering panoramic views of the valleys on both sides. After reaching the village of Valbona, we'll head to our traditional guesthouse for a well-deserved rest. Overnight in Valbona (or similar).
Day 4 – Day 4: Valbona - Cerem

On Day 4, we'll journey from Valbona to Cerem, passing through forests and meadows. We'll encounter unique sights like a canyon with year-round snow and a stone surface resembling the face of an old man. For the adventurous, there's an optional hike to the highest peak of Montenegro, Zla Kolate peak. We'll end the day at the shepherd's huts in Cerem, a remote spot high in the mountains offering a unique off-the-grid experience. Overnight in a shepherd's hut in Cerem (or similar).
Day 5 – Day 5: Cerem - Doberdol
Day 5: Cerem - Doberdol
Day 5 takes us from Cerem to Doberdol, following a mule track through pine forests and berry fields. We'll cross the border into Montenegro and pass through Albania's only National Reserve, home to brown bears and lynxes. We'll also visit shepherd's hut villages and enjoy local hospitality. Our destination, Doberdol, is a beautiful village offering regional food and basic accommodation. Overnight in a shepherd's hut in Doberdol (or similar).
Day 6 – Day 6: Doberdol - Gjeravica Peak - Gjakova
Day 6: Doberdol - Gjeravica Peak - Gjakova
On Day 6, we'll hike to the highest peak of Kosovo, Gjeravica, offering stunning views of the Accursed and Sharr Mountains. You'll have the opportunity to swim in three different lakes, including a heart-shaped one. We'll then head to Gjakova, marking our return to civilization. Overnight in a hotel in Gjakova (or similar).
Day 7 – Day 7: Gjakova - Tirana/Podgorica

On the final day of our tour, we'll explore the city of Gjakova, home to the oldest and largest bazaar in Kosovo. We'll visit the clock tower and the 16th-century Hadum Mosque, showcasing the beginning of Islamic architecture in the Balkans. After soaking in the city's rich history, we'll transfer back to Tirana or Podgorica, marking the end of our unforgettable journey through the Peaks of the Balkans.
