Enchanting Kitzbühel with Charm

Kickstart your hiking adventure with a classic route through lush meadows, idyllic moorland, and extensive forests. The trail takes you from Lake Schwarzsee, past traditional farmhouses, to glistening ponds, offering stunning views of the Wilder Kaiser-rock massif.

Take a cable car ride to the Kitzbüheler Horn, the highest summit in this fabulous mountain world. Enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding mountain chains and peaks. Visit the Alpine Flower Garden to marvel at over 300 different alpine plants from around the world.

Embark on a short bus journey to Erpfendorf, where you'll hike into the wild-romantic Griesbach-ravine. Cross impressive chain bridges and adventurous footbridges, and take a break at the quaint Huberalm hut. Descend to the shores of the river Großache and follow a pretty riverbank path into the picturesque village of St. Johann.

Follow the tracks of pilgrims along the Tyrolean Way of St. James. Pass through the Öfenschlucht-gorge to reach the historic pilgrimage church St. Adolari and the turquoise Lake Pillersees. Take a chair lift to the Buchensteinwand mountain face, where you'll find the accessible cross Jakobskreuz, a mountain chapel and panorama viewing platform.

The final day of your hiking week takes you to Jochberg, where you'll ascend through the Sintersbach-basin to the Sintersbach Waterfall. This waterfall cascades over a height of 85 metres over steep rocks, offering a breathtaking spectacle of nature's power. Descend into the valley via the impressive Drachensteig-trail.
