Innsbruck – Lake Garda (Sportive)

Your adventure begins in the charming city of Innsbruck. After a welcome briefing and bike fitting, spend your day exploring the city's famous old town, marvel at the city tower and the iconic Golden Roof.

Pedal along the former towpath by the river Inn, at the foot of the Martinswand mountain. Cycle through quaint villages and market towns to Stams, then continue your journey via Haiming to Imst, the 'Merano of North Tyrol'.

Today's journey takes you along the river Inn, past the monastery Zams to Landeck and then to Martina in Switzerland. From here, you'll climb the Reschen Pass to Italy, where you'll be rewarded with a stunning mountain panorama.

Start your day towards Glurns, known for its perfectly preserved medieval city walls. Cycle through the Montani ruins, Schlanders, and down to Merano. Along the way, you'll encounter beautiful castles and get breathtaking views of the Ortlermassiv mountain massif and the Stilfserjoch mountain pass.

Today's stage will take you via Lana and through numerous orchards and vineyards in the area of the South Tyrolean Wine Road. You'll pass many fortresses, castles, and ruins such as Hocheppan, to Lake Caldaro. Leaving the charming wine town behind you, you will cycle via the Montiggler lakes, past Sigmundskron to Bolzano, where you can visit the famous Ötzi Museum.

From Bolzano, you will cycle along the river Eisack and later along the river Adige on a beautiful bike path that is rich with orchards to Salurn, where the German speaking part of South Tyrol ends. Afterwards, you'll continue to the historic centre of Trento, accompanied by the vineyards of 'Teroldego' vines.

Today, you will cycle on bike paths along the river Adige via the old Tyrolean border town of Rovereto to Mori. From here, the route leads westward to Lake Garda. In Mori, you'll have the chance to taste the world-famous pistachio ice-cream at the Gelateria Bologna. After a short climb onto Passo S. Giovanni, you will head down to the lake to Torbole or Riva.
