Mur Cycle Path

Start your journey in St. Michael, cycling along the River Mur to the national park town of Muhr. Enjoy the serene ride past vibrant meadows, leading you to the Spring of the River Mur. A challenging uphill ride takes you to the Stickler alpine hut, followed by a hike to the spring. After a day of adventure, cycle back to St. Michael for a restful night at the Romantikhotel Wastlwirt (or similar).

Cycle from Tamsweg, known for its historic market place and the pilgrimage church of St. Leonhard, to the peaceful town of Murau. Explore the wood museum in St. Ruprecht, showcasing the region's rich wood diversity. In Murau, a medieval beer brewing town, visit the beer museum and the castle. Rest for the night at Hotel Lercher (or similar).

Begin your day in Frojach, visiting the Narrow-Gauge Railway Museum. Cycle through the straits of the Mur valley, stopping by the legendary ruins in Frauenburg and the oldest mineral water source in Styria, Sauerbrunn. Your destination for the day is Judenburg, a city rich in history with attractions like the city tower, the former sovereign’s castle, town houses, and Magdalen Church. Spend the night at Guesthouse Karl August (or similar).

Start your day in the village of Maria Buch, visiting the pilgrimage church and the Monastery Seckau. Cycle to the cities of Leoben and Bruck an der Mur, known for their architectural sites. In Leoben, visit the Monastery Göss and the Gösser brewery. In Bruck an der Mur, explore the Schlossberg hill, the Kornmesserhaus, and the city hall. Rest for the night at Hotel Landskron (or similar).

Begin your day in Frohnleiten, visiting Park Murlend and the Tratschweiberbrunnen fountain. Cycle through nature, passing old farmhouses, orchards, and high cliffs. Visit Rabenstein castle, the Lurgrotte caves, and the open-air museum Stübing. Your destination for the day is Graz, Styria's capital city, known for its Schlossberg hill, Eggenberg castle, the country house, the town hall, and numerous museums. Spend the night at Hotel Drei Raben (or similar).

Start your day at Seggau castle, visiting the Fürstenzimmer and art gallery, and enjoying some wine in the 300-year-old wine cellar. Cycle along the South Styrian wine road to Mureck, where you can visit the church, the city hall, and the ship mill. Spend the night at Pension Steirerland (or similar).

On the final day, cycle from Lake Röcksee to Bad Radkersburg. Visit the mineral water spring Peterquelle and relax in the thermal waters of Bad Radkersburg. Explore the historic old town, showcasing a variety of architectural styles. The tour concludes with a departure/return transfer, or you can choose to extend your trip.
